Traveling Expands Mind

Traveling is one of the thing which expands mind, I’m not saying it’s the only way but it’s just one of the thing which can. Traveling is one of the way through which a person may gain new perspective and may find much about the world and about himself/herself too. Traveling will make you much flexible, opens mind to new things and will make you a better person. Traveling will help you to understand yourself more and the world too, when you tread on a trial alone you actually walk with your thoughts or when you sit by side a lake you actually sit with your thoughts and as you’re alone you will have time to work on your thoughts and to introspect more. Whereas when you travel with someone or with a group you have different experiences, actually when you travel with a person or with a group, it brings everyone closer as you share new experiences together, in both ways you will again a lot in your travels.

Best experiences are often not planned or schedule. Yes! Traveling is full of unexpected things, things which you may cherish in future, things which you never have expected to feel, see or experience, you may learn new things and more. When you travel you look at things in a different way with your own perspective, which may creates some thoughts in your mind and you will feel a wider possibility to understand things better.Yes! You may encounter with things like that or a lot of other things, some can be amazingly enlightening things. Whatever be it, good or bad you will gain experience, wisdom and moreover your experiences will make you more stronger person.

I always wish to travel more and more, to see the things or the world through different angle but at the present I travel mostly due to official reasons only, haha! I’m always up to go out for a trekking in the hills, I love to be in the nature, or to somewhere where I can explore more or can see new things and can have wonderful experiences. There is a different pleasure to get out of your comfort zone and then exploring the things or the world, and to watch and experience wonderful things which you haven’t seen before. Here I’m posting few pictures from my travels. I’m neither a photographer nor I know much about photography, I’m just sharing pictures with you all and by the way all the pictures are clicked somewhere in the hills of Himachal Pradesh 🙂

To Travel is to Live

In a beautiful serene place climbing a mountain, a hike, sitting by side a waterfall, strolling on a meadow or a walk into woods will make you feel to be in bliss. To be in nature and surrounded by its beauty is amazingly refreshing. The fresh and gentle cool breeze on your face will blow its own freshness into you, tall trees and huge mountains around you will make you feel crazy in an awesome way, at some places you feel like above clouds or surrounded by clouds. Nature can offer us many epic and remembering moments only if we know how to be in nature, its tranquility will flow into us as sunshine flows on our planet only if we know how to be in nature.
I always find it amazing and tranquil to be in nature, surrounded by mountains and nature’s beauty. Standing on top of the mountain and looking at the world below makes me smile for some few reasons. I love to travel; it makes me feel so alive and refreshes my mind to the core. Somebody rightly said that to travel is to live and I wish to travel more doesn’t matter whether in hills or plains. I wish to experience, explore and learn more and I hope will.

Peace and World

Recently, I’ve spent few days in the hills of Himachal, few days in Shimla and few days in Mandi. Weather was rainy as it is a rainy season in that part of the Earth from June to September which can be problematic for the locals or maybe they’re use to it. Actually, I was there on some kind of official visit not to travel, enjoy and explore things but still I managed few moments to stroll around the place.

Shimla

Shimla

I find serenity and pleasure when I watch those hills and clouds, maybe because I love to be in the nature as it nourishes my mind with positive thoughts.

Expand The Horizon-Shimla3

Shimla

Some may find hills better to travel or some may find plains, some may find both or some may find nothing. I think it actually depends on how a person perceives things; a person won’t find peace anywhere if there is no peace in the mind.

Mandi

Mandi

Positive state of mind is obviously needed to have peace in mind, with peace in mind we realizes the real beauty of things.

Mandi

Mandi

The best thing which I love to do is traveling to different places, to watch the sun at different horizons, to feel the gentle cool breeze on the face, to watch the clouds forming different formations, to explore and relish beauty of the planet, to learn from the things around me, and of course sometimes to write down my thoughts and experiences too. Yes! I love and enjoy being in the nature and exploring the things.

Have a good day/night all ~ Vikas Sharma

PlanTree – Solution to Grow Organic Food at Home

There is an interesting concept and solution to grow organic food at home designed by Nur Yıldırım, and it is called PlanTree. The PlanTree is an interesting solution to allow people to grow all sorts of herbs, fruits and vegetables within their very own homes.PlanTree-Eco Technology1

Here’s what Nur Yıldırım says about his PlanTree:

Designed for the kitchens of 2025 households, planTree allows to grow organic food from seed to plants. Seeds or seedlings are placed into pot-like cups that are filled with soil substitute materials such as rockwool or coco fibre. Water and nutrients are added to system, where they are circulated through plants. A simple interface lets user to set up values such as pH, moisture and light. Plants are grown and cultivated in a controlled microenvironment with water, nutrients and humidity.PlanTree-Eco Technology3

Design allows cultivation of organic food at home with less water and more efficiently, saving time and energy. Designed by Nur Yıldırım, planTree was honored in International Design Awards 2011 with Silver Award in Kitchen Appliances Student Category.

Importance of healthy local food is increasing while there is a growing awareness on the agriculture methods. Organic farming is becoming popular due to concerns like genetically modified food plantation. Home farming is also spreading both for health concerns and as a hobby.

PlanTree is a vertical indoor plant grower composed of a base and modules. Organic food that is consumed at home can be grown on pot-like modules from seed to plant. With the user friendly interface and automated water recirculation, product is easy to keep and maintain.

PlanTree-Eco Technology2The base holds the water and the system components, while supporting the whole body. There are 8 holes for module columns on the base. Columns can go up to 6 modules in height, therefore 48 modules in number can be reached at maximum.

Modules are the parts holding plants and they can be combined in 3d space with various arrangements. Soil substitute materials are put into pot such as a sponge or as a mixture of small and big granules such as expanded clay and perlite. A cap is used to keep the water and heat for the seed while becoming a seedling. Then plant growth is sustained with a water and nutrient cycle.

Firstly, water and nutrients are fed to the system from the blue capped holes. Water is needed is 10 litres while maximum capacity is 20 litres. Nutrients are held in a different reservoir.

Water is pushed upwards from the base with the help of a pump. Water goes through channels that are numbered as columns. Water and nutrient solutions can be arranged according to columns if it is needed. Water is streamed downwards through modules, keeping the roots and supporting material wet. Green surface gives the necessary slope while also acting as a support material between transparent pieces.

PlanTree-Eco Technology4Interface of the product shows values for moisture, air temperature, water temperature and pH. Water level and nutrition level is shown while the light choice can be seen as sunlight or artificial light. There is a warning sign at the bottom to indicate that attention is needed.

pH level can be adjusted by changing the solutions concentration. Nutrient or water amount can be changed accordingly.

PlanTree-Eco Technology5Product is intended to be placed in kitchens or balconies connected to kitchen. Plenty of daylight can be absorbed when there is light. Otherwise flexible growleds provide necessary lights. Saving space by occupying only quarter of a metre square, plant number/space efficiency is achieved.

Illustration-PlanTree2The design solution brings a modular system that can be organized on a base which is carrying inner components while acting as a structural root for modules. System is fed by base in terms of water, light and nutrients. Modules offer the flexibility of space usage and quantity. System is expandable. It is also readily rearrangeable in 3d space with the help of turnable modules without the need of breaking them apart.

Illustration-PlanTree1Hydroponics technology is chosen for a number of reasons. Firstly, it is a more efficient way of cultivating when compared with soil culture in terms of water efficiency and yield health. Moreover, it is the latest technology in cultivating and used widely by industrial agriculture factories. Therefore, it is more suitable for a future project instead of conventional propagation techniques.

Illustration-PlanTree3Design uses organic modules each holding one plant. Modules are designed for space efficiency. User plants a seed into a module, than cap it. System is established by joining modules, water and nutrients are fed by base automatically. Lights are provided in case of low sunlight.

Mesmeric View, Through the Window

This place is Kasauli, a small and beautiful town somewhere in the hills. I’ve been to this place many times, and no doubt I enjoyed and cherished every moment which I’ve spent there. The picture is captured by me through the window of a resort where I stayed. The view through the window, particularly in the morning was mesmeric!
