Before you read more, here’s the website link, click on it and register with us: Viknick.com

You may share your thoughts, feedbacks and opinion, glad to know more from you all.

So the question is Why Should You Rent?

There are some factors you should consider before deciding to buy or rent things, for example:

1. How often you’re going to use that product in future?

2. In case, if you what to sell the purchased product then what will be the value of the product after few years?

3. In today’s world, technology is changing very rapidly, so if we stick to one product for long then we may miss the latest technologies or features trend. Do you wish to remain up to date with latest trend?

4. Are you comfortable in spending money to own things where at the same time on other hand due to this you have to compromise on budget for other important things just to buy a particular product?

5. Are you spending on products that may lose up to half of its value the moment you purchase it?

6. Do you want to experience or use product before actually buying it and then based on your experiences wanted to go ahead to buy it?

7. You already have a particular product with you but you need multiple products at a same time and buying seems difficult option?

If you think about all these points then surely you will get the answer yourself, whether it’s good to rent or buy a particular thing for you at that particular time. Sometimes, it’s better to buy or sometimes it’s good to rent. Moreover, renting gives you an opportunity to invest your money on things which are for long terms or can give you a better return in near future.

This was just some food for thought from us on whether to rent or buy things depending on needs or situations, and we understand there can be many other points as well which can be added in the list, so feel free time put your thoughts on it in the comment section.

Happy Renting

Long Drives – In the Hills and Snow

Last week, 2 of my friends and I planned a 3 days trip to Kasauli, Chail and Kufri. We started with Kasauli and then went to Kufri and then to Chail and then back to Chandigarh. I’m into traveling and I never get tired of it. I keep on traveling, it could be due to my work reasons or it could be my own planned trips. Here I’m sharing few glimpses with you all from my recent trip to the hills of Himachal.

kasauli-hills-himachal-1

This place is called Kasauli, a small and beautiful hill station, around 60 Km from Chandigarh. We stayed there for a night before heading ahead. The view is clicked from the Hotel’s balcony where I stayed.

kufri-himachal-snowfall-3

From Kasauli, we headed to Kufri, there was snow all over the way, and it is always risky to drive under such circumstances. So I decided to park my car at a safe place, and then we all walked few Km up to Kufri to enjoy this scenic place and nature’s paradise.

kasauli-hills-himachal-2

So after walking few KMs, we reached Kufri, and the view in Kufri was amazing with snow all over  the place. It had fresh snowfall just an hour back when we reached there.

Here, it’s me with a friend 🙂

This is Chail, a peaceful, less explored and beautiful hill station, I loved this scenic view all over the way while I was driving there.

We stayed in Chail for a night and then started driving back to Home in the morning. It is always good to spend some quality time in the serenity of nature.

Have a good day all ~ Vikas Sharma

Rock Garden

The Rock Garden of Chandigarh is a sculpture garden in Chandigarh, India, also known as Nek Chand’s Rock Garden after its founder Nek Chand, a government official who started the garden secretly in his spare time in 1957. Today it is spread over an area of 40 acres (161874.25 m²). It is completely built of industrial and home waste and thrown-away items.

In his spare time, Nek Chand started collecting materials from demolition sites around the city. He recycled these materials into his own vision of the divine kingdom of Sukrani, choosing a gorge in a forest near Sukhna Lake for his work. The gorge had been designated as a land conservancy, a forest buffer established in 1902 that nothing could be built on. Chand’s work was illegal, but he was able to hide it for 18 years before it was discovered by the authorities in 1975. By this time, it had grown into a 12-acre (49,000 m2) complex of interlinked courtyards, each filled with hundreds of pottery-covered concrete sculptures of dancers, musicians, and animals.

His work was in danger of being demolished, but he was able to get public opinion on his side. In 1976 the park was inaugurated as a public space. Nek Chand was given a salary, a title (“Sub-Divisional Engineer, Rock Garden”), and 50 laborers so that he could concentrate full-time on his work. It appeared on an Indian stamp in 1983. The Rock Garden is still made out of recycled materials. With the government’s help, Chand was able to set up collection centers around the city for waste, especially rags and broken ceramics. (Source: Wikipedia)

Leh (Ladakh) – Snapshot from my Travels # Part 6

Leh (Ladakh) is one of the most spectacular places one can visit, the place with its wonderful scenic beauty and beautiful monasteries, at an altitude of 3524 metres. If you are adventure lover and love to travel in the hills then it cannot get better anywhere other than this place on earth. It’s a cold desert, you will see less of green, but this is atoned by the beautiful valleys, mountains, different landscape and the hue, color of the place changes with the weather and time of the day; from Kashmir to Leh you get to see all different colors of nature and it’s just beyond expressing in words.

Here’s some more snapshots from my recent travels, images captured in Leh (Ladakh):
