Expand The Horizon

When things are not appearing the way you wanted them to be, then it’s always better to analyze the things around you and introspect rather than dwelling in the period of disappointments and not moving ahead. Always take everything as a lesson because everything that happens in life is a valuable experience which could help you in the future and could make you a better version of yourself. It may not be what you want but it might just be what you need, it might just be what makes you stronger and better. The only thing that makes the difference is whether you get destroyed or you learn and grow.

Take responsibility, be with open mind, be open to embrace change for betterment, believe in yourself, don’t get disappoint easily, have patience, listen to everyone but be a leader of your own, expand your horizons and blame less; you might…

Zoji La and Entrance to Ladakh – Snapshot from my Travels #Part 3

24 Kms(around 15 miles) from Sonamarg and you would be on the world’s most treacherous mountain pass ‘Zoji La’ which is located on the Srinagar-Leh Indian National Highway 1D in the western section of the Himalayas mountain range. The Zoji La connects Kashmir with the district of Ladakh of Indian State – Jammu & Kashmir, the place is such a unique combination of nature’s beauty and its destructive strength, the place has breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountains and one has to experience it to know how it feels to be there, and for me it is such an awesome experience to be there. The snow all over the huge mountains, the frozen river, the carved out snow to make roads, everything about this place is just beautiful and beyond words. The taxi in which I was traveling was going in between ice walls on two sides of a narrow road. For me, it indeed has been one of the most amazing trips till date.

Sharing some snapshots from my travels to this amazingly beautiful place:

Art of Patience

Sometimes the path on which we tread seems all hill up and hard, sometimes it feels like we are in a dark tunnel with no end and feels like lost, disappointed and frustrated. My experience says that sometimes it’s all about knowing and believing in the art of patience, and keep working on right side with positive mindset. Sometimes, one has to have too much of patience as sometimes we are just about to give up without realizing that the end of a tunnel always has more light than the middle. Whenever I find myself in a dark tunnel I hold on to the string of patience, it’s not easy to follow the path of patience but if you know you’re moving in a right direction then patience is the must thing to have within you. It’s important to know where to put patience to spend your time wisely not foolishly. I’m still learning all this, journey of life is a long learning process and I count life in the best and toughest teachers as it teaches you by experience and exposure.

Every now and then we get these moments of clarity shining through the chaotic clouds of life, moments which shed light on our existential journey’s compass. These shimmering moments of clarity may even light up new paths, new opportunities and new potential, however it may take an extreme amount of bravery (or stupidity) to reset the sails and change course before life’s chaotic storm kicks back in. Do we take the risk for the experience, for the potential growth and possible better fortune? Or do we stay on our current course because we know we’re headed the right direction? One must ask – do we know our way or are we really lost and destined to drown in this chaotic sea?

Life Goes on Like This

Life is like a series of swimming lessons where we’re chucked into a deep ocean of infinite possibilities and from there we try to make out our way to a solid ground. In our efforts to reach on to a solid ground, we try to learn swim in which we either get thrashed out, or swim with or against the current of ocean, the ocean of challenges. We do this until we either find land to stand, or get drown in the ocean tied to a heavy anchor of negativity.

When we hit a solid ground after the struggle, the whole saga of this struggle would suddenly gets put into new perspective, and hence, the lesson is revealed; the lesson which could teach us a lot about life and things, and probably would change us from within. When we land on to a solid ground to stand then again from there we could suddenly get dumped back into the ocean for our next swimming lesson to learn, explore and experience more. This is how life goes on and we keep on learning, exploring and experiencing new things.

Infinite

In every scene in my reality or at every moment, there is chance to look, observe and experience more and more, like even through my eyes, I can see more and more details that I had missed in my first look. This led me to conclude that there are an infinite number of things that are still to be seen, observed, and experienced in each moment, in each place, at each time.
As I look inside of my own self, if I have a thought about something, the more I look at that thought, the more then I can see and understand about that thought. The more I see and understand about that thought, the more I crave to learn which create more thoughts within my mind. This led me to conclude that every thought is infinite.
If I have a feeling within me, the more I allow that feeling, the stronger it can become, so the depth of every feeling could be infinite too. When I look at the ways that we all interact with each other, I see a complex web that includes all of life, in layers and layers of interactions, from the mundane to the esoteric to the subconscious, all in an infinite interplay.
