It’s Beautiful to Enjoy Solitude

Expand The Horizon

It’s better to be in solitude for a while at times than having meaningless conversations over and over with someone whom you don’t want to spend your time with. Here I’m not talking about avoiding conversation with anyone; I’m just talking about having exhausting and meaningless conversations, and about solitude.

I find it better to figure out myself, do the things I want to do, lost in my thoughts, traveling, strolling around the places alone than being with someone who is faking, irritating or with whom I find it difficult to share time over unnecessary conversations. It’s meaningless and exhausting to spend time with people you really don’t want to spend your time with, and whereas sometimes it’s beautiful and enlightening to even enjoy solitude, and of course it is easy to enjoy solitude only when it isn’t forced.

There is a different pleasure, tranquility and power in being able to…

Mental Journey

Expand The Horizon

We all go through a continuous mental journey in our whole lifetime, and as a result of this, we are all at different levels of consciousness, awareness and development at different times. Sometimes, we come across people who may not be able to comprehend what we are saying as they might be at different levels than ours or this can be other way around but that doesn’t mean what we have said can never be heard by those at different levels. You know, sometimes someone just need a little push or a hint, and who knows that can be you. You may think and perceive things in an entirely different way than the way I think and perceive things, and at this moment when you’re reading this you might or might not agree with the words I’m writing here. I would say that is all okay, we all go through…

Sometimes…!!

Sometimes the love of a stranger is the mentor we never had, and sometimes you don’t get what you desire. But then sometimes, you have to look within your own self, there are ample of things to achieve, life is not about saddening on things you failed to get, it’s about being optimistic and looking forward to achieve what all you can; and if you don’t learn to laugh at your own misfortunes it will hurt when others do. Sometimes the truth is right in front of us but we feign ignorance rather than acknowledging our faults and if in such times we’re not open to accept the truth then how can we act open the situation to take corrective measures. Sometimes all you need is some alone time to find out more about yourself.

Ignorance and Self-consciousness

This post is about what I was lately pondering upon, and my friends, I’m sharing it with every one of you keeping in mind that it’s a message to every one of us, myself included as always.

Here you go:

Life is a struggle between knowledge and ignorance, the moment we discover about our own self, about the truth of life and about our surroundings, we become more conscious about our reality by breaking the delusions and eradicating the ignorance which are ingrained within us. We reach at a different level of consciousness with better understanding of your own self, and at this level of consciousness, the choices or decisions we make are what we really want for us as it’s not the choices chosen out of ignorance and delusion.

At times, our ignorance and self-consciousness is what that can make all the difference in the choices we make, ignorance is what which at times lead us to make wrong choices. Being self-conscious is the door to conscious knowledge of oneself, it is about having a better understanding of our thoughts, behavior, feeling, beliefs, emotions, actions, personality, it is about being conscious of what we’re good at while acknowledging what we still have yet to learn, and also it helps us to understand other people too, how they comprehend us, our attitude and our responses to them in the moment, it’s a stepping stone to reinventing our own self, learning to make wiser decisions and choices, and allow us tune into our thoughts and feelings more accurately.

In the end, I would like to write that there isn’t any particular way to practice self-consciousness, everyone will meet it in different ways, you just have to keep your mind wide open; and with the time when you achieve more and more self-consciousness, your experience of life will surely expand exponentially letting you to grasp the reality.

It’s Beautiful to Enjoy Solitude

Here I’m not talking about avoiding conversation with anyone; I’m just talking about having exhausting and meaningless conversations, and about solitude.

It’s meaningless and exhausting to spend time with people you really don’t want to spend your time with, and whereas sometimes it’s beautiful and enlightening to even enjoy solitude, and of course it is easy to enjoy solitude only when it isn’t forced.

There is a different pleasure, tranquility and power in being able to find contentment in solitude and if you are able to be content or cheerful in your alone times then even in the emptiest times in your life you can find serenity and happiness. It’s only you who can turn aloneness into good solitude, the good solitude has a constructive purpose, it may still hurt occasionally but if you know what it’s for, how it can be utilized and how it can be good for you, then the solitude can be enjoyable and would teach you something worth to learn.

By all this I just want to say, you don’t always need someone around you, as sometimes it’s good to be in solitude and to expand our horizons we need to go through both the phases. I’m not suggesting solitude is better than being with people. I’m just expressing what I feel and have experienced, sometimes it’s impossible to completely avoid aloneness in life, but remember it’s worth being open to get in solitude for a while till you get around someone to whom you can connect well than spending time with someone over meaningless conversations.

Perfect Day, It Was!

It has been drizzling here in Chandigarh since yesterday, and for me it’s a relief from the scorching heat. Temperature has dropped down to 26 degree Celsius, and today in the morning while I was standing on my balcony looking at the falling rain drops, I felt like to get into the hills just for enjoying the weather and the day, it was just a random urge. So I called up a friend to accompany me, picked up the key of my vehicle, and started to drive through the drizzle up to the hills with the music full on and the windscreen wipers in action, haha! I went up to Kasauli, a small beautiful hill station around 40 miles from my place, spent few hours there, gazed through the rain and mist to the beauty of nature, got drenched little and of course that fresh cool breeze on the face was rejuvenating, two hours of perfect nature therapy it was and then I came back to home.

Now while I’m writing this post sitting on my balcony relishing the weather, it is still drizzling here, I’m listening to music and sipping green tea, and thinking about few things. Here’s something I would like to write about what is running inside my mind :

Somewhere, I read that ‘traveling is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness’. I just do not agree with this statement, I mean, then how about “those” rich people who travels all around the world and are full of prejudice and are still with narrow-minds. This statement doesn’t make sense to me, you can learn a lot from traveling only when you are open to exploring things, open to growth, understanding, experiencing and learning new things, and know how to appreciate or relish even little things too and yes of course, willing to put your ideas, thoughts and yourself out for judgment, and not getting negatively affected by wrong judgments despite learning lesson from it if there is any to learn else leaving it behind.

Now ending up this post, and leaving you with this beautiful piece of music by Pearl Jam, I had a great day, you too enjoy and have a wonderful time ~ Vikas Sharma

Life Goes on Like This

Life is like a series of swimming lessons where we’re chucked into a deep ocean of infinite possibilities and from there we try to make out our way to a solid ground. In our efforts to reach on to a solid ground, we try to learn swim in which we either get thrashed out, or swim with or against the current of ocean, the ocean of challenges. We do this until we either find land to stand, or get drown in the ocean tied to a heavy anchor of negativity.

When we hit a solid ground after the struggle, the whole saga of this struggle would suddenly gets put into new perspective, and hence, the lesson is revealed; the lesson which could teach us a lot about life and things, and probably would change us from within. When we land on to a solid ground to stand then again from there we could suddenly get dumped back into the ocean for our next swimming lesson to learn, explore and experience more. This is how life goes on and we keep on learning, exploring and experiencing new things.

Growth

There is always space to grow further; by growth here I mean personal growth. The more we grow, the more we realize there are more dimensions in which can grow further. The more we grow, the more wiser we become, the more enlightened we feel and the more wisdom we gain; it’s a never ending enlightening process. There is always growth to be had as we continue to learn more and more about our existence, our place and our purpose through experiences, knowledge, understanding and our encounter with new things on our ways.

Sometimes, at some point in our life, some of us count ourselves out from evolving and growing by placing imaginary limitations on reality or by believing we have grown up enough that there can be no further growth possible. Sometimes, we submit ourselves to rational fear, fear to change due to some reasons and then we try to defend it by calling it being a realist; it’s like sometimes we create our own rules to reality just to defend our fears and beliefs. I’m not saying there are no rules on which reality can be defined as certainly there are common rules to reality but the few so called dreamers throughout history have kept defying the rules little by little, things that were once thought impossible became possible and that will continue until oppression of consciousness occurs. This has also happened throughout history, much knowledge and awareness has been lost due to institutionalized oppression of the limitless perception we are capable of.

I find in some cases, infinity seems a difficult concept to grasp, perhaps because we are all existing consciously in a finite realm of mortal physicality where everything corrodes and comes to an end. We are told what we can do and we can’t, and that becomes intertwined into our belief system thus manifesting itself into reality, few things are so deeply ingrained into our psyche which keep on resisting our growth. Without babbling on much further my main point here is we can do more, we can grow more always. We can grow more, more than we think we can, always progress to be had, always growth to be had. Every time when we tell ourselves “this is all we can do” think again, limits will get redefined with the growth. Few people in the world break through these boundaries and achieve the impossible; they keep themselves always open to growth.
