Being an integral part of society, one’s thought is responsible for the fortune and misfortune of society, as well. And that shows why one should be responsible to one’s thought.

Individual is the key

There is no need of charismatic leaders, especially in the framework of democracy the success of which depends on how enlightened an individual and society as whole is, hence, individual is the key. The individual is the indivisible part of the society, and change in one will affect the whole society, it has to. Depending on charismatic leader, or waiting for the coming of a messiah or savior, will bound us to be ruled under an autocratic system disguised as a democracy.

Expand The Horizon

When we are so hooked up in our beliefs, our ways of thinking, and our habits, we can’t seem to see or do anything outside of our comfort zone. When our views and habits are so rigid, inflexible, and hard to break, it seems like changing of anything is impossible or impractical, and having a better society or anything other would seem impractical too.

But here the question is – how to see beyond this line of impracticality?

Letting ourselves to figure out delusion and reality would be good but then we are so deeply conditioned by our environment, which consists of culture, education, belief systems and societal constructs ranging from gender ideas to assumptions on human nature. Our entire economic doctrines are built under the assumption that humans are inherently selfish or greedy. So how are we to make sense of what is real, what is practical, what is…

Food for Thought #2

The most common problem that we’re having with gender equality is that despite whatever popular beliefs we might have we are not created equal. Men and women each have their own genetic inclinations. Understanding the opposite genders inclinations and behaviors is actually much more fundamental to achieving an androgynous balance because it is usually much more evident of everything that we’ve been taught we are not. It’s been the goal of many religions and spiritual teachings to achieve this androgynous state of mind perhaps the most famous of these illustrations is the yin yang symbol. One of the major things that it represents is the balance of masculine and feminine energies. It would be too much of a coincidence that these ideas somehow got lost when they are some of the most fundamental ideas to our balance and unity. It’s become quite evident that on a global scale there is a lack of unity in humanity. It is evident in the way that war is continuously waged on our mother earth and in the way that we ravage a physical earth for an imaginary economy.

It is not until the last tree has fallen and the last River has run dry that we will realize we cannot eat and drink money. We are killing ourselves and we seem to be okay enough with that to keep feeding the same system that is doing this. We as a human race lack understanding. More than gender, sex, creed, religion, race, age, or anything else we could fathom as a difference we lack understanding of the universe. Such understanding comes only through you. Understanding that you are not a man or a woman or Chinese or Indian, you’re not Christian or Muslim or Buddhist or Hindu because understanding the universe is understanding that nobody knows. Fundamentally, everything is make believe. The farther you reach in your spiritual life, the more evident the duality of intellect will become as your stupidity will be accepted in the absence of ego. The only truth in gender inequality is that we accept it because our own family and friends subject us to it and we become blind to the society created by civilization through generations and ever so easily do we blame each other and no longer are able to find the root of the injustice and smite it where it lurks. And that is the most essential cornerstone of slavery. A human being is happy serving a purpose, whether that purpose be shallow or fabricated is irrelevant because the human mind creates reality by believing and he who controls what the human believes controls the reality that the human lives in. It is ingenious that those who control these perceptions leave themselves in oblivion.

Trapped Within Our Own Minds

Trapped within our own minds with delusions, we cannot read others, but in desperation for the answers we lead beliefs that we do, and hence, we surround ourselves with more illusions. First step to be followed is to free our minds from the chamber of delusions and strive to know our own selves more but the question is how when most of us are so conditioned and remain confined by society, belief, culture, media, situation, education which has in some way obstructed our thinking with preconceptions, fears and anxieties?

So how are we to make sense of what is real, what is practical, what is possible when our entire environment is built on layers of beliefs?

First step would be to let our thoughts to be flexible and mind open to understand freely,  there is a reality beyond the construct of the mind and as long as we live within the confines of the ego mind we cannot conceive of a reality that is beyond what we assume is practical or impractical living, we take our sorrow and confusion to be necessary and inevitable. We don’t think beyond it, we don’t look to end it.

Our practical world today is a horror show. Not generalizing but our education hinders learning, our doctors destroy health, our media sells us lies, our food is poisoned, our resources are running scarce, there is so much poverty and destruction and we live in such a way where an elite few are prosperous while the majority beat each other over nonsensical ideals and labels.

Freedom in context of Socioeconomic System

With this short post, I’m just trying to express my view on freedom in context of the present Socioeconomic System.

Freedom! What do you think about it? Are we really free? Do we live in a free world, in free society? I think, it depends on in which context we are looking for being free or defining freedom. One freedom lies within you, within us and other is the freedom of the world we live in, there are many other aspects of freedom or being free. Are we really living in a free world? In the context of this socioeconomic system, freedom is a false term, it’s a fallacy. Freedom! This word is widely used in our society to make us think that we are free, whereas in reality, we have to confine ourselves to look normal and sane as per our society, we have to act within defined set of rules and customs, we are only as free as far as our purchasing power and capability reaches, we are only as free as far as our government or authorities allow us to be. It’s a false terminology when we look it in the context of this socioeconomic system.

Actually, this topic is deeper and broader, there are too many aspects and we all have our own way to interpret how we look at the freedom. But again I would like to say that in this post I’m just talking about freedom in the context of this socioeconomic system. Ending up this post with this that what I believe and think is freedom in this socioeconomic system can’t be enforced but can be developed by eradicating things which are unnecessary obstacles and narrowing the horizons of freedom.  A person with a free mind, a person who overcome fear, a person with no hate, a person with empathy can feel freedom within but freedom is more than this. Is there any absolute freedom? I leave you with this question, you’re free to ponder on it 🙂

P S: I’m aware and know freedom is deeper topic to dig, and I’m not writing all about it in this post. You’re welcomed to add up more!

If You Seek, You Will Find

Sometimes, the thing which looks beautiful can be deceiving. Sometimes, the path which looks perfect can be misleading. Sometimes, things aren’t what we or other assume about it. There is a great pride of traveling to a place where we haven’t been before, a place which is full of beauty, surprises and adventures but that doesn’t mean we have to travel all alone into the wild to make a life over there, and that’s too just because you don’t like the way society or the human’s world works. Yes! Society is crazy, but running away from it is not a solution. We don’t have to run away from it, we don’t have to live up in solitariness, in isolation; we don’t have to travel alone in the solitariness or go die in middle of nowhere just to have a fulfilled life, or just to live up a life out of this sick and crazy world.  If you’re not happy where you’re, you will not be happy anywhere. My point is what has to change is our minds; the way we think. Open your mind by seeking the truth and you will find fulfilled life. If you seek, you will find. It’s your ride on the planet earth, and only you’re in charge of it. So keep enjoying your ride, keep exploring the world, keep traveling, or keeping doing the things you like to do not just as an escape from the world, but a part of your ride on this beautiful planet.

Just an Opinion!

Social attitudes and cultural output exist in a constant feedback loop. The more a society glorifies ignorance, the more its cultural output reflects the ignorance, and therfore the more it embrace the lies. The more cultural output glorifies ignorance, the more a society embrace it, and therefore more truth is burned up to feed the lies. The same applies with violence, consumerism, etc. The world has been in many loops, and will be in many till the people don’t follow these decieving loops. Someone will have to break these loop, and certainly it will not be the side that makes billions from it.

One loop is the loop which exists between the media and the audience. In my opinion, journalists and artists are those who strives to expose or express important truths regardless of popularity and economic remuneration, and advertisers are those who tries to generate consensus, regardless of whether said consensus has anything to do with important issues, and based mostly on economic remuneration. In that sense, many of today’s news media outlets are really a hybrid that reflect the values of advertising while pretending to do journalism. So if society which doesn’t show any value to the artists and journalists, or a society where advertisers thrive while journalists and artists struggle, is in a loop of deception. This kind of deception will always tries to keep the truth and beauty hidden from the people by feeding them up with decorative lies.
