It’s Beautiful to Enjoy Solitude

It’s better to be in solitude for a while at times than having meaningless conversations over and over with someone whom you don’t want to spend your time with. Here I’m not talking about avoiding conversation with anyone; I’m just talking about having exhausting and meaningless conversations, and about solitude.

I find it better to figure out myself, do the things I want to do, lost in my thoughts, traveling, strolling around the places alone than being with someone who is faking, irritating or with whom I find it difficult to share time over unnecessary conversations. It’s meaningless and exhausting to spend time with people you really don’t want to spend your time with, and whereas sometimes it’s beautiful and enlightening to even enjoy solitude, and of course it is easy to enjoy solitude only when it isn’t forced.

There is a different pleasure, tranquility and power in being able to find contentment in solitude and if you are able to be content or cheerful in your alone times then even in the emptiest times in your life you can find serenity and happiness. It’s only you who can turn aloneness into good solitude, the good solitude has a constructive purpose, it may still hurt occasionally but if you know what it’s for, how it can be utilized and how it can be good for you, then the solitude can be enjoyable and would teach you something worth to learn.

By all this I just want to say, you don’t always need someone around you, as sometimes it’s good to be in solitude and to expand our horizons we need to go through both the phases. I’m not suggesting solitude is better than being with people. I’m just expressing what I feel and have experienced, sometimes it’s impossible to completely avoid aloneness in life, but remember it’s worth being open to get in solitude for a while till you get around someone to whom you can connect well than spending time with someone over meaningless conversations.

Perfect Day, It Was!

It has been drizzling here in Chandigarh since yesterday, and for me it’s a relief from the scorching heat. Temperature has dropped down to 26 degree Celsius, and today in the morning while I was standing on my balcony looking at the falling rain drops, I felt like to get into the hills just for enjoying the weather and the day, it was just a random urge. So I called up a friend to accompany me, picked up the key of my vehicle, and started to drive through the drizzle up to the hills with the music full on and the windscreen wipers in action, haha! I went up to Kasauli, a small beautiful hill station around 40 miles from my place, spent few hours there, gazed through the rain and mist to the beauty of nature, got drenched little and of course that fresh cool breeze on the face was rejuvenating, two hours of perfect nature therapy it was and then I came back to home.

Now while I’m writing this post sitting on my balcony relishing the weather, it is still drizzling here, I’m listening to music and sipping green tea, and thinking about few things. Here’s something I would like to write about what is running inside my mind :

Somewhere, I read that ‘traveling is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness’. I just do not agree with this statement, I mean, then how about “those” rich people who travels all around the world and are full of prejudice and are still with narrow-minds. This statement doesn’t make sense to me, you can learn a lot from traveling only when you are open to exploring things, open to growth, understanding, experiencing and learning new things, and know how to appreciate or relish even little things too and yes of course, willing to put your ideas, thoughts and yourself out for judgment, and not getting negatively affected by wrong judgments despite learning lesson from it if there is any to learn else leaving it behind.

Now ending up this post, and leaving you with this beautiful piece of music by Pearl Jam, I had a great day, you too enjoy and have a wonderful time ~ Vikas Sharma

Peering Through The Mist

Peering through the mist, to see what I could see,

Mind caught between the barren land and gray cast sky,

The state of equilibrium clattering making chaos,

Thunder lightning generating thoughts,

Listening to the dripping of rain drops,

What all can be done, and provoking thoughts,

On instability, bigotry, lies and hates

I’m uncertain, is it dark clouds of ignorance brought it all?

On the edge of sanity,

I hold on to the string of force in tranquility,

On the frost window pane of thoughts,

I portray how the world is shrouded with illusions and gets worse,

How humans are confined not to see beyond the wall of fake pride,

As we commend justice and peace, yet we slay it per diem with lies and hate,

We commend love and equality, yet we let prejudice breed and let us segregate.

Question Everything

Neither believing in everything blindly nor doubting everything without any substance would let our minds or thoughts to evolve. It would resist our knowledge and awareness from developing, it would resist us from learning and becoming self-aware. In fact, sometimes believing in everything blindly is like doubting everything at the same time. If I would have to explain what believing in something blindly means I would say it is not knowing exactly what is going on, it is not knowing the reason and trusting the unknown to handle it. When you believe in something blindly or without any reasons, you essentially let events happen and you don’t think about what caused it, what solved it, or what the aftermath can turn into.

Whereas doubting everything is a little tricky because it’s often confused with being skeptic. First, doubt is when you believe that something won’t work, whether it’s an action, an experiment, even an idea that is easy to understand. Skeptic is similar but is open to having its mind changed, where doubt, you pretty much cannot be convinced. Also note that doubt is an emotional response while skepticism is mental, so doubt is only the degree of how strong your emotion is, and therefore temporary, which is why it acts as a learning barrier. So to doubt everything means you are constantly using negative emotions to fend off any type of notion that there is a bright side that can be achieved.

The way is to Question everything. It would be good for us if we question everything as questioning everything will surely make us a genuine thinker which indeed can raise our awareness and knowledge, and help us in developing. It would let our minds and thoughts to evolve more, and make us self-aware. So question everything instead of doubting and believing everything or something blindly. Even if the answer is in front of you, question it to be certain, this word is the root of all intelligence, even curiosity is the attribute of questioning, and without it, we would had never learned much. So in the end I would say, question everything and don’t believe in anything unless it agrees with your own understanding, be a genuine thinker. I’m trying to be one, are you?

Mental Journey

We all go through a continuous mental journey in our whole lifetime, and as a result of this, we are all at different levels of consciousness, awareness and development at different times. Sometimes, we come across people who may not be able to comprehend what we are saying as they might be at different levels than ours or this can be other way around but that doesn’t mean what we have said can never be heard by those at different levels. You know, sometimes someone just need a little push or a hint, and who knows that can be you. You may think and perceive things in an entirely different way than the way I think and perceive things, and at this moment when you’re reading this you might or might not agree with the words I’m writing here. I would say this is all okay, we all go through our own mental journey and we learn things in our own ways, sometimes collectively, sometimes individually, sometimes through our experiences, sometimes through other’s experiences.

I’m not here to force my thoughts on anybody or convince anybody. I’m just reflecting what all there is in my mind through words. There is no need to force anything on anyone, it all starts with us, love yourself first and get to know yourself, it’s actually an ever going process to discover ourselves. Feel the air around you as you breath in and out, feel your skin, listen to your heart beat as it pumps up life through your system, pay attention to the thoughts in your head, get out to somewhere to relax and clear your perceptions or thoughts like a walk in the park, sit alone, walk with someone, travel to some place or anything whatever you feel like to do. Feel the life and look after the energy that is flowing through your body, your action and thoughts, look at the energy you’re reflecting, as it affects you first and then others.

When you’re one with yourself and one with your thoughts, only then you can feel connected with yourself from within, and when you’re connected with yourself then let yourself connect with the world, the world outside, you would feel how wonderfully you’re a part of this whole universe. Love yourself, and then extend that love further, further to the surroundings, to the world. We have a world that is to love, a world to be learned, to be discovered, to be explored. Yes! We all go through a continuous mental journey in our lifetime and we can share a part of it with others, I’m sharing it, many have shared it and are sharing and will share.

Vibrational Frequency and Energy

With this post I’m just expressing my views like all other my previous posts, some may agree or some may not or some may not have any view on my views. So if you’re interested to read then here you go 🙂

We are all energy, and everything is. We are all spinning, moving, revolving in this giant universe with unbelievable speed. Everything is moving, revolving and vibrating; nothing rests. Everything which exists in the universe is vibrating at unique frequency, we are all vibrating energy at unique or different frequencies and our vibration attracts the energy attuned to that particular frequency, just like a radio receiver tunes in to a particular electrical radio wave vibration by using a tuned circuit that sympathetically vibrates at the same frequency. We all reflect energy to our surroundings, a mind full of knowledge and wisdom will reflect the same, and a mind full of ignorance will reflect the ignorance. But as we reflect energy so we receives it too from others, from surroundings. Be always open to stock yourself with more wisdom and knowledge by tuning yourself to a higher vibrational level, to a higher frequency of energy.

Moreover, I would like to add that with the change in our way of thinking or with the change in our perception we change our vibration to other frequency and which may change everything in response. Now one might think what if we change or lift our vibrational frequency? I would say it will change the way we perceive things. Our perception or way of thinking changes at different energy and vibrational frequencies, so by changing energy and vibrational frequency you can actually change your thoughts, actions, your reality and perception too.

Have a good day!

Your Thoughts and You

I think it is good to know how to be alone with your thoughts for a while because it’s the only time when you can introspect completely, it’s the only time when you can find or realize whether you´re really happy or content with your things or present, it’s the only time when you can figure out where you’re heading and where you actually want to, and it’s the only time when you can scrutinize how you’re reacting and how you should actually react.

Traveling Expands Mind

Traveling is one of the thing which expands mind, I’m not saying it’s the only way but it’s just one of the thing which can. Traveling is one of the way through which a person may gain new perspective and may find much about the world and about himself/herself too. Traveling will make you much flexible, opens mind to new things and will make you a better person. Traveling will help you to understand yourself more and the world too, when you tread on a trial alone you actually walk with your thoughts or when you sit by side a lake you actually sit with your thoughts and as you’re alone you will have time to work on your thoughts and to introspect more. Whereas when you travel with someone or with a group you have different experiences, actually when you travel with a person or with a group, it brings everyone closer as you share new experiences together, in both ways you will again a lot in your travels.

Best experiences are often not planned or schedule. Yes! Traveling is full of unexpected things, things which you may cherish in future, things which you never have expected to feel, see or experience, you may learn new things and more. When you travel you look at things in a different way with your own perspective, which may creates some thoughts in your mind and you will feel a wider possibility to understand things better.Yes! You may encounter with things like that or a lot of other things, some can be amazingly enlightening things. Whatever be it, good or bad you will gain experience, wisdom and moreover your experiences will make you more stronger person.

I always wish to travel more and more, to see the things or the world through different angle but at the present I travel mostly due to official reasons only, haha! I’m always up to go out for a trekking in the hills, I love to be in the nature, or to somewhere where I can explore more or can see new things and can have wonderful experiences. There is a different pleasure to get out of your comfort zone and then exploring the things or the world, and to watch and experience wonderful things which you haven’t seen before. Here I’m posting few pictures from my travels. I’m neither a photographer nor I know much about photography, I’m just sharing pictures with you all and by the way all the pictures are clicked somewhere in the hills of Himachal Pradesh 🙂

Mind is Like a Door

Our mind is like a door and to perceive the reality or the truth it has to be opened. A closed mind is a home for illusions, illusions which are powerful enough to blind us until we open our doors of mind. We see, feel and experience things through our mind and senses and from our own unique perspective and perception but to see, feel and experience the things as they are we have to free ourselves from illusions which are ingrained into our psyche.

Freeing ourselves from illusions and then knowing, learning and seeing the truth can change us completely, it can change the way we behave and react. It will generate positivity within us, you will feel more calmness and contentment, you will realize there are things which you don’t have to do, you will feel the interconnection and how beautiful the universe is, it will bring more clarity in the mind.

At one point you would feel or realize that you don’t have to understand every detail of life, you just have to open the doors of your mind, which indeed will make everything clear and simple for you, you just have to understand the fundamental nature of life. In the end, I would like to say that in my perspective, you’re the one with an open mind when things start making sense to you, when there is equality, freedom, peace, love and understanding in your mind and thoughts. Moreover, this is only my perspective and we all have our own 🙂

Art, Adventure, Traveling, Exploration and Nature Connection

I believe and have experienced that we can expand our mind through art, adventure, traveling, exploration and nature connection. Every time when I travel into the nature, it opens my mind to more radical thoughts and gives me incredible sensation and joy, it gives me more positivity in my thoughts and makes me feel so serene from within. Every time when I travel into the nature, it makes me to think more peacefully and to question everything, it makes me feel that our everyday perceptions are only a tiny fraction of reality and everything is nothing with a twist.

Through art, adventure, traveling, exploration and nature connection we can expand our understanding of complicated maze that is the human and of course of the world around us too. Through any of these we may get more clear perception of the surrounding world and new possibilities to interpret it. It can broadened our views on life and can make us think in an entirely different way. I love to have adventures and love to be in the nature whenever I can be. I wish I could travel more not just into the nature but to all the places worth to see, feel and explore, haha! It’s just few things which keep me restricting from traveling most of the time else I would have been a traveler all the time, roaming around the world just to feel the rays of sun from different horizons, just to explore more, just to watch sunset and sunrise at different horizons, just to gain new experiences,  just to feel and understand the life and the world more.

Have a good day/night ~ Vikas Sharma
